OVERVIEW

Sapa, the town lies in the North West of Vietnam and is close to the Chinese border. Local people in there have quickly adapted to the incursion of tourism and it’s a common sight to see local women from the hill tribes pursuing foreigners down the main street bartering over colorful clothing and souvenirs.

DESTINATION

Sapa is 380km from Hanoi and various options exist to get there. The most popular is to sign up for one of the overnight trips which include a train journey to Lao Cai followed by minibus transfer up to Sapa.

DAY 1 HA NOI - LAO CAI
Meal: n/a | Accommodation: on tourist train

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00pm and transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train (sharing 4-berth air-conditioned cabin)

DAY 2 LAO CAI - SAPA - LAI CHAU, TA VAN, GIANG TA CHAI - SAPA

Meal: breakfast and lunch | Accommodation: hotel

We arrive in Lao Cai in early morning and transfer directly to Sapa. Luggage will be leaved at hotel.

Breakfast is served at right hotel or local restaurant. Then you will commence your journey from Sapa to Lao Chai village where black H’mong ethnic peole is living, by trekking. You will then keep walking from Lao Chai to Ta Van village where the Giay ethnic minority hill tribe lives. This popular trip is a good chance to traipse around the rice terraces and experience a bit of rural village life.

Picnic lunch - prepared by your guide will be served at local house.

After lunch, the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dzao ethnic minority village. After that we take a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.

Overnight in Sapa

DAY 3 SAPA - TA PHIN - LAO CAI -  HA NOI

Today again, we continue to do trekking to Ta Phin village where the Red Dzao & black H’mong minority people are living, a remote village around 12km from Sapa which still retains traditional customs and lifestyles of ethnic minority groups. The villagers will invite you to visit their homes and show you how they live, what they have and tell you about their families. After filling your stomach, we hop on car drive back to hotel. Check-out. We’ll have short time to wonder around your stay before our driver takes you back to Lao Cai. Free at local restaurant close to the Railway Station until get a night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train (sharing 4-berth air-conditioned cabin)

*Our program is not included transfer from the Railway station in Hanoi to your hotel. You may take a local taxi and pay small expense for that only!
